[Merlin's fiddling quietly with his PCD as he walks, trying to figure out what some of those other buttons do, and he unwittingly turns the thing on at some point while he does.  People who are really paying attention to the video, might even notice that Merlin is being followed before Merlin.  Eventually, however, he gets prodded once, insistently

Oh, I'm not gonna keep it. Bran hated it enough as a moose I can't imagine he'd be much happier with a unicorn.
