heres an update of sorts on things as i havent updated this thing in quite some time. life is moving quickly enough that i dont have time to update as much as maybe needed but i still find my self reading friends entries almost daily.
work is what keeps me the busiest. as of last week, ive been at levis for three years now. i still enjoy it on a day to day basis, which is why im still there. ive been full time since june now and as mentioned in a post long ago, i ended up going up to wisconsin in august for a week to open up a store there. i was supposed to go to birmingham, alabama at the beginning of november to help open a store there but several things got in the way of that.
im still doing shit for hydrahead records. its not a job or an internship or a street team kinda deal. its just a kinda weird, i do stuff for them and they hook me up with free stuff in exchange for my work kinda deal. its definitely one of the coolest things ive ever done and they even hooked me up with a @hydrahead.com email of my own.
shows have been hit up when i can get out to them. not as often as i would like but ive been able to go see the bands i feel worth spending my time and money to see. i saw converge and mastodon back in september. these arms are snakes, mouth of the architect and young widows in october, which is in the running for the best show ive seen this year. in two days, im going to see morrissey. im pretty excited for that as ive never seen him before and he was on my list of people/bands ive never seen but need to kinda thing. its his only american show this fall so it should be good. pelican and young widows will be seen again before the year comes to a close.
