we're no here...

spent a day in the suburbs yesterday. easter isnt really a big deal in my immediate family as we arent all that religious. well, my parents were brought up religious but they never forced it on my brothers and i which is pretty cool. the mid afternoon was spent in meijer where my mom bought me a nice easter present in the form of a case of labatts. dinner was eaten and my dad and i watched the easter classic, gangs of new york, which was butchered to hell by television.

one of the perks of visiting my parents is being able to use soulseek as this mac isnt cool enough to get soulseek and soulseek usually is the easiest way to find the kind of music that i am looking for. so i always show up armed with a spindle of blank cds and try to burn as much new stuff to listen to untill my next visit. this time around i was super happy to find a mogwai bbc session from this past january. i love bbc stuff because its live but not really. and thankfully mogwai has done plenty of sessions over the years. speaking of mogwai, one month till they roll through here again and that puts a smile on my face already.

oh and in case you havent heard Henry Rollins was cited as a "possible threat" by the Australian government after an alarmed passenger saw him reading "Jihad: The Rise of Militant Islam in Central Asia" on a flight to Brisbane.
