Nightmare on George Street

Creepiest Dream of the Year Award goes to last night's Freddy Kruger adventure.

The setting: one of those constantly shifting and twisting scenes. From what I can recall, it took place at some house-like structure with all these staircases and rooms - but these rooms all opened up and changed into outdoor spaces. There were lots of brick and wooden structures that we were all desperately climbing up to escape or hide. There was also lots of water involved - not in a good calming sense, but violent, deep, rapids and crashing waterfalls and currents.

The players: hundreds of people - many I knew and many I didn't recognise. Friends kept morphing into other friends and strangers. Nothing was constant about this dream.

The majority of it consisted of us all running around and hiding. I never actually saw Freddy until the end, but was constantly aware of his presence. I knew that he was stalking me and that he could shift and morph into different people and objects. There was a lot of starting and stopping scenes, sort of like a movie. Eventually, I realized that I could fly so rick and I escaped, with him sitting on my back and we flew across all the water. We eventually came to this town with all these big apartment buildings and neighbourhoods. We decided that we were safe there so we rented an apartment (on the 5th floor) and settled in. Then Ariel came to visit us since she had managed to escape as well. But I had this bad feeling and started running out of the town, yelling for rick to come with me and reaching out my hand. I looked back at Ariel again just as her face morphed into Freddy's. AHH! And then I woke up I think.

So, how is one supposed to interpret that shit? Phew.

ps- ariel, I love you and would never wish it upon you to be some fictive childhood killer in nightmare land. <3
