i see my dad a few times a week yet it still gets to me
when i was younger maybe 12 or so....i was riding in my dads truck...i dont know what we were doing or where we were going.....and the song "cats in the cradle" came on...it was at the same time duran durans "ordinary world" had just come out...for some reason i thought they sounded alike so i tuned it out...anyway my dad turned it up and made me listen to it as he sang along....i wasnt really paying attention....as it was ending he starts talking about the song and its meaning....me not really listening he had to give me a recap...even at the time i dont think i really got his message.....i cry when i hear the song everytime, i think of that time in the truck 10+ years ago.
