Is the partial loss of our powers an effect of just this building, or of the entire world?

I can't say I've noticed anything of the sort personally. Where do you intend to look for the way out?

I do know there are more of the monsters out there than you. What makes you such a special case? Presumably whatever abilities you may have had have been reduced, to judge from your earlier question.

I can still fight, even against larger numbers.

You don't know what's out there. We aren't faced just with 'typical' zombies.

Still, if you are set on going, 'anywhere' is not a very good answer. You ought to try and plan a route.

What kind of zombies are they, then?

Faster than the sort people generally think of. They're certainly capable of more than shambling. And in addition to that, there have been indications of other creatures.

[She might not be able to see it, but he's got a smirk on his face.] Things they call Lickers, for example. Creatures mutated by the virus.

But what do they do?

Lickers have incredibly long, razor sharp tongues. Also elongated claws and can stick to surfaces like walls and ceilings. They have poor hearing, however.
