A really good day...
I think I like October 7th. Monica and I had a wonderful day together on our first anniversary. We spent the whole day playing a couple of really cool games together (not the sort you'd automatically think!). Our friends Linz and Eric gave us 2 games for our anniversary. One is called Lost Cities and involves numbers and a little strategy. The other is a great storytelling card game called Gloom. Both were instantly addicting!
We went out to dinner tonight at the Porta Bella. We had our first kiss there and I had proposed to Monica there so it seemed only fitting that we celebrate our first anniversary there. When we got home we pulled the large piece of cake we had saved from the wedding out of the fridge and ate a couple of pieces. It was still as good as it was last year (I would've preffered a sweeter frosting). We also opened a bottle of champagne left over from the party last year as well.
We couldn't have asked for a better day!
