When I went into the restroom to take a shower my brother Thomas had been in his room sitting on his bed staring at the mirror on his closet door; he was still there when I came to find him after I had finished and gotten dressed.
"Hey, you okay?" I ask leaning in the doorway to his room but he doesn’t answer. I step into the room and move to his side, placing my hand on his shoulder I gave him a quick shake, "Thomas?"
"Um...what?" He turns to me as if noticing that I was just there, which was a little odd for him. Being a vampire of the White Court he's a little bit more aware of his surrounding. "Oh, sorry Harry, didn't hear you come in."
"Are you alright?" I ask again.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He stands and grabs his leather jacket from the edge of his bed. "You ready to go?"
I nod and watch him leave the room, once he's outside I glance at the mirror. Mirrors can be dangerous things in the world of magic and the supernatural, they can also be a dangerous thing in the normal world. They reveal things about people that they don't want to know and sometime they show things to people that they already know but are hiding from. I knew what Thomas was trying to hid from, ever since I found out that he was my brother.
I may have been looking at my brother looking his reflecting in the mirror but to him, he was looking at a monster.
