So I hurt my back at work, and am on light duty.
This is probably another kick from fate telling me that I need to focus on finding another career, which has been in the works for over a year now. It would help if I had an idea of what I wanted. At this point "job that has some sort of advancing path that any random degree is suitable for" will do. I have a BA in psych. I have been thinking about case manager...HR...anything. I am hitting a job fair in a few weeks, and have contacted some old professors for advice. This is the tip of the iceberg on my thought process and routes I have been taking.
Light duty is a relief as I am less stressed at work, on the other hand not getting my typical hours which is stressing me out for the holiday seasons. I have munchkins and I want to spoil them as I don't get to see them very much. Especially the boys in MD.
Speaking of the munchkins. I did another candy collecting adventure for them this Thanksgiving. I took yarn and did a rope mod. Taped bits of candy to it, and had them follow it around and got them to a treasure chest with more candy, and they found a key on a separate string.
When trying to start them on the adventure I told them this:
"I have bad news, good news, and good news... Bad news, a candy spider took your candy when I was trying to set up. Good news, I chased it off. Bad news... you gotta get the candy..."
And it brought questions like:
"How did you chase off a candy spider?"
"Magic...and fire..."-Me
Punks.
