1. Son of the Mob- a really cute book about a high school guy who is trying to get away from his mob family's dealings while getting into college- really cute and hysterical.
2. Sky High- a movie about a high school for superheros- contains Kurt Russell as the dad.
3. How I Met Your Mother- quirky, cute tv series about a guy on his quest to find the one, and the hijinxs of him and his awesome friends on the way there. And their continuity and use of flashbacks is really amazing and well thought out. One or two errors here and there, but nothing really awful.
4. Watchmen- just because I think the end is really the only way to obtain world peace (or cooperation at least)
5. Pheonix Wright- ok it's a videogame series, but it's awesome with the great story line as you are an investigative attorney... or something...
