I just spent 3 hours of my life being explained on how to be supportive...
So Wednesdays are sort of a pain for me- I have Journalism, followed by Music, then a 2 hour break. I am then back to talking about the not so pure puritans in my history class, followed by research methods which I get to leave after an hour of to get to my Counselor Advocate Training class which consisted of being told about how to talk to people... and in my opinion could have been covered in half an hour. The class is important, but it drives me nuts how it has no structure...this is coming from a person who likes having discussions in class... I just feel like if someone has a concern that needs to be address, they'll bring it up, and you can see the problem during the practices...
I've taken classes that are multiple hours long before- EMT, Fire 1, Fire 2... and yes, they were sometimes boring as hell, but at least they were structured somewhat... I can't explain it... except for that I am annoyed- and tired.
And then I get out and these two girls are trying to figure out how to hit the highway and ask for help- I tell them that I am an EMT in the city and warn them that there's heavy traffic due to construction, but i can show them how to get around if they go this really easy way. "No, I'll get lost" they say and continue on babbling on about the 7 roads they need to turn onto before finding the highway because the pencil drawing they have off of yahoo maps obviously knows better.
I hate people. I'm never helping anyone again. Fuck off get lost in the middle of Hartford and then get stuck in 20 minutes of traffic once you hit the highway.
My schedule starting tomorrow:
9a-3 p Station
7p-7a AMR
10a-12p CCSU
12p-8p AMR
9a-4p EMT football games

9a-4p football
Monday- more classes...
