Did he realy see giants

Don Quixote is another litterary figure I have to think about.  He bears further examination I think.

Did this old man realy see giants waving about there arms when he looked at that windmill, or did he mearly want to awaken Sancho Panza's sense of adventure and get him to look past the mundane just a bit.  We don't know from sure, he claims he did but was it for Panza's sake that he did that?  Was this rag tag night just trying to reawaken the world to it's sense of moral justice?  Did he realy see a bar maid as a queen or was he trying to say that even a bar maid should be treated like a queen by a real man.  Was this old man just trying to live in a time that was never his, under the ideals that he never had a chance to?  After all in the books knights were something to realy look up to.  Even the black knights were still men of their word, even if they had a scewed moral compass.

In my mind I can see him wink, as he looks across the field at those wind mills, and the song "Impossible Dream"  is qued up.  Yes he winks.  His eyes twinkle.  He's not daft, or crazy but realy very sain, and compitant.  The smile is spreading, it isn't that it's a wind mill and there is no way he can win, it's a chance to try.  It's a chance to bring people in, and awaken there sense of justice.  Who cares that the lance is a branch, and the sword isn't magic just frighteningly rusty.  Wake up!  Who cares if it horse should have been sold for glue 6 years ago!  CHARGE!

To everyone who reads this.  It is time to awaken your sense of moral justice, put on the Don's true armor of the hopefull heart and charge into battle with your own dragon's and giants and damn the fools who can not see them.  Weither it is a bar wench, or your wife, or the check out girl at the Wal-Mart she is a queen, and must be treated like one and defend her.  Weither your sword is covered in rust, or your war hamer is realy a ball-pin hammer, draw it and brandish it for justice.  Shout your warcry Brothers and Sisters.

That's right not just men can wear the Don's armor.  There is nothing to stop a woman from snapping that visor down and leveling a lance to unhorse a rival.  After all were not Joan of Arc, and Hua Mulan a famous warrior women who risked all side by side with there male counterparts.  Raise your voices as you swing that flail, forget for a second that hit is a purse and join the the impossible fight to bring back moral justice.  The right to denouce evil and stand up to it by force or arm, or force of will.  A battle of words can be just as vexing as any matching of swords and as you perry and trust stand up for who you are!
