Hellllllllllllllo Everybody!
It's time for the battle Report. This is your ever loving Protectorate of Menoth player. Nate. This weeks battle was against the infinat lord of evil, the Master of the Undead hords, the son of Turok himself...my good buddy Cryx.
Cygnar is going to be sitting out for a while. He feels he needs to work on his sportsmanship. So we are going to make him the judge.
This weeks war casters.
Me:
Grand Scrutator Severous (Old Sevy)
Cryx:
Iron Lich Asphexous.
Battle field set up:
Cryx got to go first and Cygnar set up the battlefield. We were playing with weather rules and the randomly chosen weather condition was high wind which casused missed AOE shots to dift an extra inch. KABOOM!
News
I was using 2 new jacks. The
Castigator and the
Avatar of Menoth. I haven't used the Avatar yet so it was fun to though neither heavy jack saw battle.
That isn't to say that Cryx wasn't trying something new. He was fielding something enterily new to him, that also didn't get to see any battle. The
Bloat thral, YUCK! And a group of
Stayxis raiders. I told him I would paint those for free. Er...I'd say why but I think you all can guess.
Battle highlights
Well the board was cluttered with buildings so of course I used a zealot team to blow up a building that got in my way so I could get buy it faster. The battle though was brought to me by Cryx. Man this was a though one. But it all worked out better than I could have hoped for. The key to this weeks victory was the elven mage hunter and the 8 focus of Old Sevy, and the Spell Eye of Menoth. The Iron Lich keept moving foward and along the left side of the board but he stoped within shooting range of the elf counting on his high Cryx defense to keep him safe. Well she fired a disruptor bolt on him, that took out his focus, and boxes of damage. Then on his turn the lich doesn't run but advances. Umm...yeah...I wondered about that too but he thought he had a plan. This was end game time though. My little army had been stiped down to just 1 Knight (out of 6), a plaidan, all 3 of my jacks untouched. My warcaster untouched, and 1 zealot(out of 6), and a choir (5 person).
The game ended like this. Commiting a bayonet charge the mage hunter fires her cross bow loaded with a death bolt, dealing 3 damage to the lich but she misses with her bayonet. Senshachal carghes forward to hack the lich up but misses with his swords. Then the arcnode jack walks forward and threw it's relay system unleashes 3 sorching attacks on the lich, or in short it relayed the spell Immolation from Severous. The iron lich became a smokeing crator as the fires consumed him.
