Well if I said I have been diligant in updateing, I ask that you forgive me of that. I have been bussy with school and Everquest. Ahh Everquest, sweet Fennin Ro server and beautiful Neriak. I have been playing the part of two dark elves, a brother and a sister. One joke about me playing a girl and someone will be sans teeth got it! If Piro can do it than why can't I?
I should explain why I made a female character. That is simple I wanted to have a magic user and I consider magic to be a more femine thing. So a strict magic user in my mind would be female hence the reason why my Dark elf necromancer is a female. If you want blame anything for that line of thaught blame my favorite type of televised and video taped media Anime. In particular the show Slayers, Think about it the bulk of the magic users are Female, the only none female spell caster in that group my fav char in the series Zelgadis, is still primarly a swordsman who backs up his sword skill with magic. "A heartless mystical swords man."
My male character was inspired by my real life martial arts teacher Mark Worbloski, and the anime character Kenshin. Both of them were lighting fast. It was amazing to watch Mark move you could hardly see it. After I moved to Wisconsin "the frozen north" I longed to get back into martial arts but the money was not there. I satied my desire for this with playing martial arts games like Dark Stalkers and Street fighter. Soul Caliber being my new favorite. Anyway I noticed that few if any of the male characters had any noteable speed. Which was a shame yet the females had amazing speed. Felicia (of darkstalkers) being among the fastest I have encountered.
When years later I got everquest and created Jarroth the dark elf. I made of the idea of at one time there were many different schools of fighting (inspired by my reading of The book of five rings by Myamotto Musashi {seeing a disterbing japanese theme?}) with people going to indivdual teachers to learn. Well as in Japan and across the world such a thing faded out when large Schools were formed so I figured that the same thing would happen in Norrath. Such was the fate of the Snake Strike School. Which was a all female style of fighting. "Hold on a second, Jarroth is a guy!" Yes he is, it was forbiden to teach pure snake strike to a male, but more praticaly a male body could never master it. Hence the reason it was all female to begin with Snake strike is based of Mark and Kenshin an all speed fighting school. One were brute power is shoved aside for speed. I would watch mark win every time because he could take down anyone before they could raise a defense or put up an ofense. In the fighting games the speed of the girls would allow you to get in there and do damage and get out before bad stuff happens.
So yes there it is. I probibly put too much effort in it but who cares.
games,
