Pirate non progress...

Hahha yeah non progress :P

I didn't get anything else done last night, it's really really cold in the evenings now (It's still March and it feels like Brisbane July!!!) and Sally was in a foul mood so I didn't want to tempt fate by using the sewing machine.

I was woken up early this morning by Matt's alarm and couldn't get back to sleep so I decided to just get up and make use of the day. That was 7:30 :D So now I've already had breakfast and showered and checked my email and usually, I wouldn't even be up yet!! haha!

Anywho so I was going to try and get the jacket finished today, but I realised that I'm going to need to have the jacket on someone to work out how the sleeves go in (as they're those two part bent sleeves, like my Victorian bodice) so I'll have to wait til Matt comes home and enlist his help. I just need to mark on the jacket where the two seams should be, and then I can work out the rest, but yeah, will have to wait for Matt.

Good news is that I got Matt to try it on last night and I think the fit should be fine! It's quite a bit longer than I thought, and I can't shorten it too much because of the godets, but it shouldn't be a problem. Brandon's taller than Matt anyway, and it was just below the knee on Matt. Obviously it's quite big for Matt, but it wasn't as big as I thought it would be, so I think it should fit Brandon just fine :D Woo!

Seriously though, I LOVE the wool! It's so pretty and drapey! hahah It's a nice firm drape, but it's not too stiff. nice stuff!

So yeah, I'm not going to waste the day though, I've a few other projects to get to work on.
