I feel lethargic yet grand,
a bit like one of those large whales--sperm, maybe beluga.
trudging through waters, quick yet underwater slow,
magnificent yet life-lethargic,
barnacles and little bits of seaweed stuck to my face.

he is trying to change the T.V. settings,
asks my aunt to grab the 3D glasses from under the set.
bed-bound, he still wants to show me something interesting.

I appreciate that.

In high-res, we watch a National Geographic feature,
of a sea giant swirling through waves.
I want to pick shiny shells off the animal, scrape it clean.
