Writer's Block: Happiest birthday gift

Sep 23, 2009 22:13

No one has ever given me a birthday gift. Do people get gifts on their birthday? Isn't that a bit weird? I mean, what's so special about the day you're born?

birthday, writer's block, present, gift

No one? Never? That's kind of sad. When is your b-day?

It is? I didn't know it was sad...I guess I did only find out my birthday a little while ago anyway... I guess no one would have been around to celebrate anyway. But it's the first of April.

Maybe not if you never celebrate it. it's really about if it means something to you or not.

First of April. got it.

Well, it's more that there really wasn't anyone who would have cared, until a little while ago.

I guess I care. If it's sad not to have them.

I'm sure that you will receive more present from now. What kind of things you like?

Uh...I dunno! I guess I've got everything I need that people could give me...If people were going to give me something, I'd just like it to be something that they had put a little of themselves into. So I could be with them, even when they're not around.

I see. I like handmade presents too.

I'm glad you said that! But it doesn't have to be handmade. A person just has to think 'This present shows how I feel about Kinniku Suguru', and that's enough for me!

That's enough for me too, but handmade presents are sometimes more fun. People work hard on them thinking of you.
