Today has been a pretty useful day, all things considered. I made myself a to-do list, and I've been progressing through it at an acceptable speed. Job hunting for the day has been done; I wrote about 1400 words combined of outline and review for

Any capital letter will overwrite that corresponding letter on the extra character's name in Suiko2.
Basically, you can recruit the Suiko1 protagonist if you import proper data. I think you need all 108 stars, which can be tricky if you're not using a guide. Really tricky. There's a few VERY SPECIFIC things you need to do with characters you may ditch and never use again (since they're early-on characters and you can to an extent pick your party from a huge cast), and if you ditch them you get screwed later on.
Anyway. His name in Suiko2 is 'McDohl'. Any capital letters in the name of your character from Suiko1 transfer over. So, you named him Doofus. His name is going to be 'DcDohl'. Any lower-case letters won't mess it up, just capitals.
So you won't lose anything, he'll just have a dumbass name.
My first one had his name CcDohl. 8D I usually name my characters (Even male) Leah, so if I had done that... 'LcDohl'. I personally read that as 'lick doll'. :| You, on the other hand... will have 'dick doll' :D

hahahaha, dick doll. *snorks*
Yeah, I'm using a guide to get all 108 Stars. This is partly because I am lazy!

I can't remember if the 108 stars was for recruiting McDohl, or just for the other character WITH him. I can't remember. :| Damnit. But yeah. :3
I left out specifics cause I wasn't sure how much you're spoiled or if you were using a guide.
:D I LOVE IMMATURE NAMING CONVENTIONS.

I'm not particularly spoiled, but I also don't particularly care. So. :D
