come on, stupid book, be done already
I was reviewing my progress on Every Light in my head on the way home. The Super Major Plot Points are decreasing in number, but there's still a lot. To wit:
Fill-Ins (Stuff I Skipped During NaNo)
--Second half of Kain's Newsstand of Daddy Issues (thanks for that phrase, celeloriel, you rock.)
--Second half of Party Down in Damcyan
--Peregrination, Parts 1 & 2
Moving Forward
--Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Part Four
--Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Part One Redux
--Four Weddings And A -- Wait. Fuck.
--Loose Ends, They Are Woven
Of course, the first list is probably about 15,000 words, give or take (more if Edge and Rydia run away with things as they like to do.) And the second list is probably another NaNo novel worth (I hope not, because I'd like to do something DIFFERENT this year, but augh.)
Also, Kain keeps adding things to later bits of the story. Notes feature in Liquid Story Binder is basically saving my ass on this one because I can scribble down things I need to work back in later for coherency. Oh, and he decided to explicitly make it a crossover with FF2, now. THANKS KAIN. (Which is partly the fault of the FF Wiki, which I was very amused at today - I went and nosed around in the FF4 sections looking for something, and was incredibly amused to discover that the headcanon for Baron's culture and history that I wrote myself....is so close to the Ultimania canon as to be nearly indistinguishable. MY BRAIN, I LOVE IT.)
Also have the Director's Cut version of this monstrosity about half planned out. My authorial intent, I will put it on display.
