Well. I can tell I pushed it a little too hard yesterday.
The front of my shoulders aches, but only when I actually stretch or try to pull them back. My abs are sore, and unrelated to working out, I apparently slept really strangely last night and I have an ungodly crick in my neck that makes turning my head an interesting experiment. Woe.
As a result, I decided to take today off from working out, and instead have been fiddling around not accomplishing very much. I got home super late from
wrenbow's place last night and didn't go to bed until after 3 (I am amused at myself, thinking of how in college I used to stay up til 6 am on Saturdays). I made myself get up around 10:30 this morning. It would have been earlier, but the cat was being snuggly, and this is never to be wasted.
He has alternated between snuggly-adorable (he fell asleep on my foot while I was playing FF9, and has indeed spent the majority of the afternoon curled up on the couch with me) and wretched pain in the ass all afternoon; he seems to think that my roses are for chewing on. Usually I keep flowers in the kitchen for this exact reason, but I wanted them to be out where I could see them and enjoy them (because they make me smile), so I spent a lot of the afternoon chasing the cat off the coffee table where he isn't allowed anyway to keep him from eating them.
Last night at
wrenbow's was fun; there were many many movies, including Gamers and Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising, plus a Star Trek episode called "Tapestry" (first time I've ever actually watched Star Trek other than glimpses here and there), Buffy the Vampire Slayer 2x03 ("School Hard," I love you, and can recite more than 50% of your dialogue), and Firefly ep 5, "Our Mrs. Reynolds." There were entertaining people and a general good time.
Today I've...not accomplished much except more FF9, and now the sun is sinking and I'm fiddling around on the Internets hoping that Mike gets a chance to pop on before I head out to
spreadnparanoia's place for some Avatar shinies.
Alright, time to work on my writing since I was fail at that yesterday.
