Whew. Well, that was productive.
Yesterday I got a ton of stuff done pre-NaNo, and then Robbie and I went off to Red Lobster for dinner. I'd been craving their stuffed mushrooms. I did in fact get my stuffed mushrooms, and they were wonderful. Seafood and cheese and mushrooms: three of my favourite things. Combined they are awesome. Ahem. Anyway.
So Robbie and I came back and collected a Wizera, and thus commenced the first NaNo 2008 Productivity Party. There was a little bit of hassle regarding internets, as my router is cranky with the wireless, but we worked it out with some Ethernet cables.
a_leprechaun and
herod_the_nut dropped by, and then we got a Claire, which was awesome. We socialized for the first hour or so, and then a strange silence fell over the room as
a_leprechaun, Wiz, and I typed frantically on our novels,
herod_the_nut worked on some gaming stuff, and Robbie worked on Dead City. I struggled badly for the first 1200 words or so, and then it went smooth as silk. I felt like it was really productive and awesome.
I futzed around doing a great deal of nothing for most of the day - I spent the first few hours playing Final Fantasy VIII. To the moon, Alice! To the moon! Squall's level 67, with everybody else around 40 except Rinoa, who's at 25. I'll need to fix that at the first available opportunity. I have 3/4 of the things I need to summon Doomtrain (I require Med Lv Up and for that I have to finish Med Data) and have been abusing the Bonus abilities that my GFs give me. Also bending Malboros over like it's my job. I have every GF except Bahamut, Eden, Jumbo Cactuar, and Doomtrain, so I think I'm doing pretty well.
So Mike came over this afternoon and played some Mass Effect. We're nearly done with it; just one plot world to go, and all the sidequests are done (except for the one that requires x many points of Renegade, because we were rockin' out the Paragon.) I've been enjoying the plot, but I'm glad he's playing it instead of me. I fail at shooters in general and this one would kill me. augh.

Alright, time to see if I can't pad that a bit more before I fall asleep.
