TAKE THAT, XEMNAS
(I apologize for my spammy today.)
Sooooo, as the title might imply, I finally beat KH2 tonight. Mike was working on his deadcity character, and I was bored, so I fired up KH2 and had a go at Xemnas.
I cleared the first part with much more ease than I had done previously (having gained 11 levels since my last attempt.) I cleared the first two stages pretty easily, and then the fucking gummi ship level which led to a great deal of swearing and exclamations "You must be fucking kidding me!" Finally got to the very last stage....and got owned. Started over. Got to the last bit of the last stage with the stupid Reflect trick, and got owned. Screamed. Started over. Got back to the next-to-last bit (with the capturing.) Started getting owned. Paused, threw the PS2 controller into the couch next to me, and fumed. Mike came over and cuddled and petted, and then took the controller and got me through that bit (despite not having played KH at all...), then gave it back to me for Reflect Trick 2.0. This time I had checked the strategy guide more carefully, and got through it very easily. A couple more keyblade smacks, and KH2 is beaten on proud mode. W00T.
Speaking of KH-related things - So I just sold my copy of Chain of Memories, because card games are a whorish slut. Anybody out there have CoM and want the guide? I'm willing to send it gratis, though it'll go by media mail and therefore be slow.
And now, back to watching Mike beat the Snow Barrel Blast level in Donkey Kong Country, because I was failing epically at doing the same. (I really do love the sounds that things make when they die in this game!)
....I'm making ridiculous progress in beating my unbeaten games, lately.
