I picked up Kushiel's Dart in the library today, thinking, Hmm, Clam's always talking about these...

But reading the back kind of put me off. What are they actually about?

They are mostly about politics, with a dose of spirituality and a side of the stuff that put you off about the back. Mostly, it doesn't have any more sex than other fantasy novels I've read.
