Yesterday morning I got up and went to talk to a lady about apartments. She showed me a studio apartment that is barely larger than my current bedroom (17x17 vs. 12x13 - it should be noted my stuff *definitely does not fit* in said current bedroom) and that has a kitchen even smaller than the one I had in the Whale, for which she would like to charge $150 more than I am currently paying, plus $100/month for parking. Nuts to that. So I came back home and looked around for stuff in some of the nearby cities. I found a couple of places that have 1 bedrooms for within my price range (which is about $150 over what I'm currently paying, but I'm not paying that much more to live in a shoe box, thank you).
After that it was Lost Odyssey time. I've tracked down all but 1 of the Spirit Magic spells that I have missed over the course of the game thus far (I'm missing Regenera), and did some levelling in the Gongora's Cave area, so now I am in the 38-44 range. Sed has the highest level, but I'm keeping him in because, hi, double XP, SP, Gold, and Loot, hell yeah. I've also done a bunch of the fetch quests and am in the process of basically clearing all the optional areas before I move on to the Eastern Spirit Tribe Ruins. Which is odd, because the guide suggested there was some kind of story bit to be found in the cave, and I have not found this thing, and the cave isn't that damn big. This clearly requires further investigation and incidentally further levelling. :D
bobbler and Nikki were throwing a party last night, to which the household at large went. We stopped on the way and
herod_the_nut and I got Chipotle (under the premise, at least in my case, of "I want Chipotle and also if I am to be drinking I should have real food.") There were some hilarious moments, and lots of interesting conversations. Robbie (not to be confused with
bobbler) is still looking for a roommate, so that may actually work out really well - I'd be farther south and I'd still be out of this particular town, which would be a little bit distressing, but not by a whole lot and I'd still be close to work, so that's good. It would also be less expensive than living up here, which would mean paying off debts that much faster, and would be A+.
He mentioned maybe trying to pick up used furniture in the spring when folks move out and I was like "Ah, no, you don't need to worry about that - I can literally furnish an apartment on my own from stuff I've collected." So we will discourse more on that, but that has the potential for total awesome.
I ended up way more drunk than I thought I was going to be, given that I had an actual meal and was mixing my own drinks and mixing them fairly lightly (I thought). So I ended up being generally affectionate and sappy towards people at large. Also there was a slightly awkward conversation that needed to happen, but is full of flailing, and is at this moment not really resolved. SO CONFUSED OMG WHAT. Hoping to get it more resolved later today >_>;
Melzer and
wrenbow ensured that I stayed upright on the way home, which was very nice of them, because I was not exactly doing great at that project on my own. I ended up talking to
wrenbow for a while after we got home and then there was sleepings. Now I am awake.
And on that note, I think I need to find something to eat.
