Grant me wings that I might fly
Well. That's been an eventful week.
In Exalted on Monday, I finally used my orichalcum steel-barbed whip, Wasp's Sting, so herod_the_nut and the two named NPC's know that I have orichalcum (though I still have not shown a caste mark.) I also found that I have totally misinterpreted the Night Caste anima rules, and in fact they are way shinier than I thought. (Night and Twilight: My two favourite castes at the moment.)
DCP plottings will hit this Saturday. This is gonna be FUN. Only maybe not, but that's okay. :D
Um, so anyway! Tuesday was all with the massive amounts of snow, and I really wasn't feeling up to trying to drive in it, so instead I spent about three hours shoveling snow. I also played some more KH2; I cleared the tutorial and did Hollow Bastion. Dear OrgXIII, YOU ARE SO HOT. Please win, because you >>>> Sora & company. I seem to be getting used to playing again, huzzah.
The drive in yesterday was a little annoying, what with fishtailing about as I tried to get away from my house on my way to the freeway (fortunately, at 6 am, there was no one else on the road). I got to work okay, and the day wasn't too terrible. Joe picked me up after work and we braved traffic on the way to dinner at Lawry's. As we're on our way down Dundee (which has a speed limit of 50), some numbnuts tries to turn left across the two westbound lanes into the eastbound side of Dundee (where we were) - a maneuver he certainly did not have space to attempt with people barrelling down on him. There was a spectacular collision that sent a car careening into our lane. Fortunately Joe apparently has lightning reflexes and there was nobody next to us, so we got out of the way (although peppered with bits of something or other from the collision, eep.)
We got downtown with no further incidents and went wandering to the Lego store on Michigan Avenue. I want a set of Legos again :( I was really, REALLY tempted, but I refrained....for now. (mostly only because the cat would eat them, and also due to lack of funds. But I still want them.)
Dinner was delicious, as always, and then we came back up here, retrieved my car, and pretty much promptly fell asleep, as we'd both gotten up early and were very tired. Cuddling is super yay :) I am just annoyed that I wasn't feeling well yesterday, as it kind of put a damper on the evening since I was very blah. But still awesomeness, for delicious food and such. And cuddling!
Okay. Back to working and trying to work up enthusiasm for Exalted tonight.
