My brain is, as per usual, full of thoughts that go FWEEEEEE like blender, as I told wrenbow some months ago when I was more than a touch tipsy. XD Not all of them are fit for public consumption, though (nor for posting from work!) so let's see...
Christmas with the family was nice, and the parents have now returned home. It was great to see them, but at the same time not great, as Mom was being picky about various and sundry things. Dad just kept saying "Barbara, it's not your apartment." Which is entirely true, but it was still kind of irritating. We got over it eventually, though.
In car news, apparently I have bad sensors in the brakes (rather than the transmission, which is what the guy at Jiffy Lube said. Though he was talking to Jeremy instead of me. *rolls eyes* Go figure.) So I'm going to need to get that fixed. Ah well.
PAYDAY TODAY OMG YAYS. Which means I can go shopping tomorrow. XD I have some things in mind, for sure. (Most of which will be paid for by gift cards, BUT STILL. Shopping. This is dangerous, but I am convinced I will do okay! I will be a moderately good girl. Anybody up for a trip to the mall tomorrow?)
Let's see, what else is going on? We're having a New Year's Eve party, which will be the usual suspects, I'd imagine. I have invited Joe. I hope that the roommates do not terrify him unduly. That would make me sad.
Work this week has been pretty quiet, all other things being equal. They were offering VTO the last couple days. I took it yesterday because it was Joe's day off and I figured I'd rather spend my afternoon with him than at work. :D So I got to take off at about 2:15 and spent about four hours at his place. Cuddling is yays. ♥
In other news, relevant to a conversation with persona last night: I'm sick of playing by other people's rules, so the hell with it. I'm done being someone I'm not for someone else's sake.
