Well this is fun.

So Jeremy is definitely the best listener ever. Got some issues sorted last night (I hope) so we'll see how that goes.

In other news, my cold is progressing as per usual. When I talk my voice sounds like sandpaper run over gravel (one of the managers looked up shocked when he heard my voice this morning and was like "You sound awful!") Also, I'm coughing harder (but at least this is semiproductive instead of just pointlessly hacking up a lung.) The runny nose seems to have eased off, though, so hopefully I will be back to 100% in time for bobbler's pirate party this weekend.

The only thing more annoying than this cold is having this cold plus cramps. Hello, Meglet body, WTF? Please to not be stupid now, kthx.

About 3/4 done with Banewreaker, which I am growing more attached to. I like Tanaros a lot, poor sorry man. He reminds me of Joscelin Verreuil from Kushiel's Legacy, unsurprising as it's the same author. Lilias actually reminds me a bit of Phédre. I'm not as drawn into this book as I was with the Kushiel books. It's very traditional-high-fantasy in the vein of Tolkien, which is something I'm growing less and less patient with (I never liked Tolkien to begin with. Fracking hobbit songs. Yes, I am a bad geek, I know.) Elves, dwarves, Men (capitalised) and suchlike. I do very much like the highly relative viewpoints, though, which is reminiscent of my favourite things about Exalted, where everyone is right from their own point of view. Except the Sidereals. :)

Ah well. Life goes on, right?

*pokes muses to see if the interesting combination of acetominophen and ibuprofen is going to wake them up*
