Not enough sleep x_x;

So there's a good reason why I never retired my old alarm clock when my parents gave me an iHome last Christmas: I don't get up well in the morning, so I do actually have two alarm clocks set (on opposite sides of the room) to force me to drag myself out of bed.

Last night I forgot to set one of them. Fortunately the other one is set to go off in five-minute intervals, but still. *headdesk* Also the cat is being very needy right now and clinging to me all the time. It's cute, but confusing, and his yowling is becoming a trifle irksome. He has food, he has water, I cleaned his litter box this morning, and I pet him when he sits still for it (i.e. never) so I don't know what the heck he wants.

Anyway.

Last night was fun, although I did not get any more work done on my fic trade for first_seventhe. Instead, I played in an NWoD game run by herod_the_nut which I shall not describe, lest he kill me because he hasn't run sabrielrose and calhin's sessions yet. Two funny die rolls though: Attempting to fire a gun at [adversary deleted], I was reduced to a chance die, and botched. I do in fact have a talent for picking the best (worst) times to botch. Killing allies FTW. Then we're trying to drive, so I roll my Dex + Drive (a whopping 3 dice) and get 8, 9, 9. *shakes head* Oh well. The driving was more critical than the Firearms test, anyway. Oh, and I rolled initiative like a mad mad monkey.

Also, I was used to Old WoD, where 6+ was a success (varying depending on the roll.) Then I got used to Exalted, where it's 7+ and 10's count twice. Now NWoD is all like "8+ is a success and if you get a 10 you roll again." *headdesk* Make up your MINDS, WW!

After game, we introduced Downey to the joy that is Jonathan Coulton, and killed Jeremy with the lyrics to "Code Monkey." *giggle* Then we were discussing this whole thing whereby we are now going to have 12 planets, and I had one of my fabulous geek moments and realized that the planets (with the exception of the soon-to-be-planet Charon) have Roman names, while the satellites (Deimos, Nereid, Io, Ganymede, etc.) have Greek names. Interesting if random trivia.

Apparently we go to see Snakes on a Plane tonight. I'm zonked as it is. I'm going to be worthless tomorrow. *sigh* Must have a nap. *nod*
