Unfinished One-Shots
Final Fantasy IX: "Loss of Me," General Beatrix, angst and introspection, starting just before the opening of the game and continuing through the beginning part of Disc Two. I'll probably make this part of my claim for madain_sari.

Unfinished Chaptered Fics
Final Fantasy IV: "Every Light Casts A Shadow," oneshot, Kain Highwind. Crazy political intrigue, war, betrayal, tragedy, general insanity, and lots of introspection.
Final Fantasy VI: "Crimson Memories," Edgar Roni Figaro, angst, romance, sap, tragedy. Pre-game, adventures with the Returners.
Final Fantasy VI: "War of the Magi." Historical fic, exploring the creation of the Espers and the war they fought. I have three chapters, which were written sophomore year, which means that if I continue it I either have to rewrite those three chapters or have a huge stylistic break between them and the subsequent ones, not unlike the one in "Reconciliation."
Final Fantasy VIII: "Nothing More," oneshot angst/tragedy, Seifer AlmasyxQuistis Trepe. I really like this concept and what I've got so far, but I'm wondering if I've gotten way off-track at some point in the set-up, which is kind of annoying, since there's more set-up to go before we get to Mad Plot Points™
Final Fantasy X: "Sea Breezes," romance/angst, ChappuxLulu. Again, I really like this, but I'm getting stuck in various places. *sigh* This is part of my "Elemental" arc (described below).
Final Fantasy X: "A Summoner's Faith," Yuna, five connected vignettes in Besaid Temple at three different stages of her pilgrimage.

Unfinished Arcs
Final Fantasy IV: "Winter Rain" and "Summer Lightning," Edge GeraldinexRydia Drake, angst, romance, etc. I still love the concept of this arc, but it's really hard to write. I've also added in two more concepts, "Spring Breezes" and "Autumn Winds" to make it a full-fledged seasonal arc.
Final Fantasy X: The "Elemental" arc. I realized that my two ChappuxLulu fics both have a Wind theme ("Winds of Change" and "Sea Breezes">), so I decided to run with that theme and came up with:
Wind: ChappuxLulu.  "Sea Breezes," taking place before the game, is the story of their childhood and romance, and Chappu's death. "Winds of Change" is a post-game fic, Lulu saying goodbye to Chappu and moving on with her life.

Water: TidusxYuna, unfortunately.  I was thinking of the scene in Macalania, and it seems that water really is their element. So something with Tidus, pre-game, playing blitz? Or some form of water-themed thing. And then post-game, Yuna floating on her back in the lake in Macalania. Cue angst. (Half done with "Floating"!)

Earth: Definitely Kimahri. Pre-game: How he lost his horn in that fight with Biran and Yenke. Post-game: Alone on the summit of Gagazet, mourning the loss of his race, and then thinking about rebuilding.

Metal: Auron (*purrr*) - strength and steel. Once just before Auron goes to Zanarkand, and once as he's preparing for the battle with Yunalesca (second pilgrimage).

Fire: This one's the hardest for me, but I think maybe Wakka. One piece probably in Sanubia Desert as he's waiting for Tidus to find him, and one perhaps from Rikku's perspective, alone in the ruins of Home after the end of the game, when she's really coming to terms with everything that happened there.

Orphaned Plot-Bunnies
Final Fantasy IV: Untitled, Golbez and FuSoYa encounter new problems with Zemus elsewhere. Crossover potential (FF8).
Final Fantasy IV: "Words Unspoken," Cecil HarveyxRosa Farrell. While searching for the Earth Crystal, Cecil reflects on their relationship and decides he's probably been a general jackass, and resolves to apologize.
Final Fantasy IV: Untitled, Rydia passes away in childbirth, Edge blames Rosa for not being there and himself for the situation in the first place, Kain beats some sense into him. For mount_ordeals.
Final Fantasy IV: "The Darkness Within," Kain/Rydia. I just have the title and a vague concept of what I want. Sigh. For mount_ordeals.
Final Fantasy IV: "The Cost of Dreams," Kain HighwindxRosa Farrell. While Rosa is captive in the Tower of Zot, one thing leads to another. Angst, self-hatred, fights, mind control, and a bit of inspiration from auronlu's "Resurrection" series. Eek. Twisted. For mount_ordeals.
Final Fantasy VI: Untitled, telling the tale of Kefka's Magi-Tek infusion and Leo's refusal, and the slow warping it inspired in Kefka.
Final Fantasy VI: "Forever," Locke ColexRachel, while she's comatose. Based on Garth Brooks - If Tomorrow Never Comes. Whee, angst.
Final Fantasy VI: "In Miniature," Shadow fic, leaving his daughter behind, thinking how much she reminds him of her mother. Lots of angsting, and introspection, and stuff.
Final Fantasy VI: "Promises," Locke ColexCeles Chere, probably set in Albrook just before the journey to Crescent Island. Feeling guilty about his growing feelings for Celes: he made a vow to Rachel and feels like he's breaking that now. Based on Collin Raye - Man Of My Word.
Final Fantasy VI: "White Lies," Strago Magus, postgame fic, trying to decide if he should tell Relm the truth about her parents, and is it right to tell her about it when she will never be able to see them.
Final Fantasy VI: "Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory," Terra. You see, the Slave Crown as a concept completely fascinates me, and given that Terra is a powerful creature (look how fast she recovered) what must that be like, being under the crown? Early in the game it's stated that she's unable to have conscious thoughts. I would interpret that more as she can't take voluntary actions. This fic will be very dark because it will touch on some stuff that celeloriel brought up about how horrifyingly awful it would be for Kefka to have someone who can't fight back under his complete control. Eeek.
Final Fantasy VI: Locke's youth, rebelling against a powerful family (Cole/Kohlingen) and becoming a treasure hunter.
Final Fantasy VII: Crack!fic AU, exploring the notion of what would happen if a SOLDIER reproduced; whether the Mako would carry over and what would happen with the JENOVA genetic material.
Final Fantasy VIII: Squall LeonhartxRinoa Heartilly, inspired by a combination of Billy Dean's "Somewhere in my Broken Heart" and Bryan White's "I'm Not Supposed To Love You Anymore."
Final Fantasy VIII: "Limits," Seifer AlmasyxQuistis Trepe. Generally inspired by a combination of VAST - Pretty When You Cry and the theme "You just never know when to stop" which I'll be using for fated_children when I actually get there, which will likely be a while.
Final Fantasy VIII: "Over," Quistis Trepe. General angst and dealing with Squall choosing Rinoa over her. Based off Wynonna's "Is It Over Yet?"
Final Fantasy VIII: "Fireflies," Seifer AlmasyxRinoa Heartilly. Their summer fling. The fact that it's Seifer more or less cancels the fact that it's Rinoa. This plotbunny's been nagging me for years and won't go away.
Final Fantasy VIII: "Compromises," General CarawayxJulia. How must Julia have felt when Laguna just disappeared? And how did she come to end up with Caraway? Was she happy or merely content?
Final Fantasy IX: "Sacrifice," Adelbert SteinerxGeneral Beatrix, general angst, postgame fic. Beatrix decides to leave Alexandria out of a combined sense of guilt for what she did under Queen Brahne and a general sense of being smothered. Does Steiner stop her? Or does he find her later? Hmm.
Final Fantasy IX: "Angel of Death," Kuja. Genfic. How did he become what he did? "I finally realized what it means to live, but I guess I was too late."
Final Fantasy IX: "Different," FratleyxFreya, getting to know each other again. The things she remembers versus who he is now. General interference from Puck.
Final Fantasy X: "Spira's Sorrow," how Yunalesca first discovered the Final Summoning.
Final Fantasy X: Untitled, SeymourxYuna, right before the wedding scene. Wheee, brainbend.
Final Fantasy XII - Balthier and Al-Cid go clubbing. I blame yi_sen.
Final Fantasy XII - Vossler/Ashe AU, King-Consort Vossler and the meaning of being a son of Dalmasca
Final Fantasy XII - Gabranth/Ashe AU, "I cannot serve two masters, Queen Ashelia. Do not make me choose."
Final Fantasy XII/Final Fantasy VI crossover - Balthier and Ashe stumble through the Mist into the Esper World. They meet Locke and Celes. Shenanigans ensue that may or may not end in OT4.
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood - "Heroes," Raul and Elaine (unsure if this will be het or gen). What did they do between [spoiler] and [spoiler]?
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood - "Choices," Serina, Orha, and Amila. They have a really interesting power dynamic, and this is going to be my first fic for garden_of_light.
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood - "Lies of Omission," Carian and Neikan. Creating the massive plot that underpins the storyline.
Magna Carta: Tears of Blood - "No Future Without The Past," HarenxEonis. Dealing with the memory of Felicia and moving on.
New Valendia - Axel/Terra with bonus Celes - "Those Who Favour Fire." Trying to get Terra to leave her life in the slums for a better one above.
New Valendia - Demyx/Celes with music kink.
Skies of Arcadia Legends - "Subtlety," Belleza's rise to power.
Skies of Arcadia Legends - Untitled, Ramirez fic of some sort, because he's shiny.

Rewrites
Final Fantasy VI: "Reconciliation" - I want to rewrite this because the fic was written in two sections, a couple years apart, and the stylistic difference is glaring. Also it could use some updating and maturing.
Final Fantasy X: "After We Defeat Sin." Oneshot, TidusxYuna, angst. Technically I finished this piece, but upon re-reading I agree that the voice isn't correct for Tidus, and thus it requires a rewrite.
