So yesterday being Dillo Day, it was a busy day in general. I got up early to help Jeremy pick up his new bed. Then I headed down to
spreadnparanoia's place for the traditional party. It seemed rather quieter this year than has been the case in previous years, but it might just be me. I was pretty damn out of it. I hung out there from about 3 till about 9:30, when most people departed for the porn showing at Tech. One that happened, I headed up to Melzer's place with Natalie, Carol, and Jeremy. Some significant Smash playing took place, and then we watched Pulp Fiction, since Jeremy, Nat and Carol had not yet seen it.
I didn't like the movie very much the first time I saw it. I still don't particularly care for it, but I can objectively appreciate the craft that went into it. The fact that most of the movie consists of just conversations between various groups of people, and that the dialogue is well written, is really awesome. I can also appreciate some of the cinematography; it's just a well-put-together film. The subject matter isn't my cup of tea, and I don't like Uma Thurman at all, but yeah. I also started reading the NWoD corebook, which was interesting and creepy as flying hell.
After the movie we were talking about Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and Jeremy was cuddling one of the couch pillows. Natalie called him on it and then he decided to stack as many pillows on top of himself as he possibly could. I then promptly plopped on top of the immense stack of pillows. He tried to pin my hands, which led to general laughter and good times, and then I mentioned aloud that Jeremy must be hot. Melzer's solution was to go get an ice cube and drop it down Jeremy's sock. Jeremy rescued it and dropped it down the back of my shirt. He was lying on his back with his legs bent at the knee, so I dropped it up his shorts. Eventually he rescued it and dropped it down my shirt again. I had the option of putting it down Carol's cleavage or down Melzer's shirt, and chose the latter. Then Jeremy was poking the back of my knee with his toes and I was like "Stop trying to tickle me!"
So he's like "Even the back of your knees are ticklish?" and I refused to answer so he pounced and started tickling me, which of course made me screech and flail around. Natalie tried to help me but Jeremy started tickling her too, so we all ended up flailing around on the floor laughing hysterically, with Melzer and Carol watching us going "Who knew tickling was a spectator sport?"
Then I came home and skimmed over LiveJournal, and crashed out. I woke up early this morning to go see X-Men: the Last Stand (don't worry, no spoilers!) with
sabrielrose,
intorporeal,
a_leprechaun,
herod_the_nut,
tetsuokatata, Melzer, Carol, and Natalie. It was better than I feared. We went to Noodles and Company for tasty lunch, and then I headed to EB Games to buy New Super Mario Bros. I've played about halfway through World 1 and it's bloody damn addictive! So much fun, and I'm having ridiculous amounts of fun being compulsive and chasing down the star coins. It reminds me of the original SMB, which is great. I wanted Brain Age, too, but that'll wait till I get paid on Wednesday.
Melzer's running Star Wars tonight, so that ought to be lots of fun. All in all, a great weekend thus far! And how often do you see me use this mood icon?
P.S. Happy birthday,
evillotto and
sabrielrose!
P.P.S. I need some happy icons, why the hell are all of mine angsty?!
