sketchy ads and general mumblings

So I have been seeing advertisements on CTA buses recently that are very creepy.  They are for an organization called the Rainbow Hospice.  One is a photo of a gray squishy chair and a purple hassock, with the caption "Get comfortable with death."  The other is of a stack of blankets, topped by a purple one, with the caption "You started life with a blankie, you can end it the same way."

Am I the only one who finds that horribly frightening?  I mean, I get the point, but good Lord, what a scary ad.  (Especially when you see it at 7 am when your brain is not yet fully functional!)

Anyway.  this week at work has been slow.  Thankfully.  Otherwise it's been a quiet night.  I went to Prairie Moon on Tuesday with Jeremy, Melzer, and herod_the_nut.  Last night I went to bobbler's movie night, where we watched Sin City and Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark.  Sin City was....more gory than I really wanted.  ALthough Jeremy had the great line of the evening, at the end, when Hartigan is fighting off advances:  "Wow, that was acting!  I mean, for a minute there, I thought he didn't want to kiss Jessica Alba!"

I liked the symmetry, but it was a creepy movie and gave me scary dreams.  Yuck.

Easter game is pretty well planned.

I bought wrist support wrappy things today.  they're weird, and hard to type with.  They're slowing me down.  It's irksome.

Thank God tomorrow's Friday.
