So I played the hell out of FF4 today - completed the Sylvan Cave, the Cave of Summons, Sealed Cave, quests for Bahamut and Odin, got FuSoYa, killed the giant of Babel, and explored the new secret dungeon. I'm not terribly impressed with the dungeon itself; we'll see what I think after I take Palom, Porom, Edward, Yang, and Cid down there to get their ultimate weapons. One thing for sure though, I sincerely doubt my final battle party will vary. I mean, seriously, how could you beat it? The only thing I coudl think is exchanging Yang or Cid for Edge...and no. I like my ninja. He may be damnably hard to keep alive, but HE THROWS DARTS AND STEALS THE DARK MATTER.
Oh, also, they made the Demon Wall fuckoff easy in this version. I'm quite disappointed. Other improvements: Reflect actually LASTS, making the fight against Bahamut that much easier. (Behemoths are still absurdly hard and I hate them. We hates them precious, yes we does.)
What else? Oh, we went to the Festival of Lights, which was very pretty. And I spent the day combing rhough every single page on RPG Place, picking out all the stupid little errors that get in there. They are now all fixed, except for a couple of incredibly minor things that
rpgfreak found. Speaking of which...anybody want to write guides for my site? Pretty pretty please?
So yeah, my brain is melting out my ears from way too much FF4 and way too much HTML. Ah well. Tomorrow I head back to Chicago. Between now and then I must somehow pack all the stuff I got for Christmas. This should be fun.
Bed now.
