Yeah ok so I didn't care until the playoffs....but damn that was sweet to watch. I still love the Orioles best, but seriously, man, that's awesome.
So one thing I found very disconcerting about Chicago when I moved out here....back home, when they do the traffic, they say that the Beltway is busy from the Accoquan (did I even spell that right?) to wherever, etc. etc. When I moved out here, I was utterly confused by the means of reporting traffic, i.e. "The Edens is 45 minutes from Lake Cook to the Junction" and i'm like "What the fuck does that mean? Where's Lake Cook? Where's the Junction? What?!"
So on the freeways, they have these electronic signs that show the times to various places. For the last several weeks, they've had "Go Sox!" scrolling across between traffic reports. This morning when I drove under one, it said "GO SOX! 3 DOWN 1 TO GO!"
I will be really amused to see what it says tomorrow.
Alright, that made my day better. I'm glad I skipped class tonight (wretched headache), cause damn. Bottom of the 9th inning was badass.
I might have to start watching baseball again....how lame.
