Hmmm
It's been an interesting few days. Last night was bad. Really, really bad. But other than that, I guess things are going okay. I bought FFX-2 on Tuesday, with the extra nifty strategy guide/art book from EB Games. The art book is pretty, pretty. The strategy guide is freaking huge! And mine came with the Paine cover :) Yay!
It's kind of interesting to be playing a sequel. I keep running into people from FFX. It's a bit weird. So far, though, I am enjoying the game. The battle system had me flustered for a while--too much stuff going on too fast--but I've gotten more used to it. It's a very, very bizarre combination of FFX and FFT style battle systems. I like the ability-learning system. Songstress is a surprisingly broken class--Darkness Dance and Samba of Silence combined mean that most things just can't touch me. I *raped* the last sphere boss with 3 Thundara spells. It went well.
I'm not really sure what I think of the game so far. It's kind of fun. Yuna's less annoying, since she now appears to possess a spine. I don't hate it. But I don't love it. The dressphere/garment grid system is pretty awesome though. I like the way it works out.
Goddess, I hope next quarter is better. Please, please, please. It has to be better. I'll fucking go all the way off the deep end if something doesn't change here.
