Poetry time...

For all my friends.

Eternal Web
Strand by strand a fragile shape is taking place
Stars like multicoloured jewels sprinkled through the darkness
Silver web connects them
And at the center, not a spider
But a silver gem
Cut to the shape of a hawk
Another fragile silver breath
Ties another star to the center
The web stretches, strains
Some strands break
And some are mended
Some grow stronger
Others darken
But the brilliant jewels of many minds
Spin in the spiral dance around the center
And each of them has its own web
Its own set of strands
Circling its unique colour and shape
On and on into infinity the webs spin out
As the threads from the hands of Lachesis
Weave into a glittering tapestry
Some will grow stronger
Some will darken and fade
But ever and always the webs remain
Shining in the darkness
This wondrous thing....
Friendship.

Wow....I haven't written poetry in almost a year. It's nice to write again. ^.^; I was thinking about a spell that a Black Widow witch and a Jeweled Queen weave in The Invisible Ring by Anne Bishop, and the poem was just kinda there. :) Yayness. Now my itchy "Haven't written shitty poetry in a long time" feeling will go away. =p

Had a nap, I feel happier.
