oh my god why is it supposed to snow on Friday IT'S SPRING COME ON

Ganon has discovered a new game, and this game is bedmice. We got a comforter for the bed that's thicker/stiffer than the blanket we had before, so he can see shapes moving under it but not details. It is the absolute best game ever. When we go to bed he immediately jumps up and attacks whatever's moving with great enthusiasm.

The problem is that he doesn't seem to understand the provenance of bedmice, and so he will also jump onto the (Freshly made, perfectly smooth) bed and vehemently attack the nonexistent bedmice. It is ridiculously adorable, and also sort of like "Ganon okay yes you defeated them it's bedtime now." (naturally, we never enforce this because sometimes it's just too funny to bait the cat with bedmice, and so we tolerate the attacks on nonexistent ones. Sometimes attacking the nonexistent ones causes new ones to spring into existence! Truly, a mystery for the ages.)

Today is the first day since Sunday that I haven't done some manner of workout; I did elliptical Sunday and yesterday, and some baby efforts at strength training on Monday (some of the exercises in this so-called beginner's list were much too hard and one of them made my shoulder unhappy, but I did the rest.) Mostly because I got distracted at work chatting with a coworker and got home about an hour late as a result, but that's okay. Tomorrow is another day.

I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo next month, for 30 hours of editing/30K words, so we'll see how that goes. I really need to buckle down and get some editing done, and having other people doing stuff with me is usually a good kick in the head.

Meanwhile, I've started the demo for Bravely Second after some miscellaneous drama around getting the danged thing to connect and download, so I am running around Luxendarc once again. It's a bit like I never left, in both good ways and bad, although I'm really enthusiastic about the "multiple chained battles" thing, because it seems like a lot of fun. However, I'm really frustrated that there doesn't seem to be any curative magic available to me. What do you mean, rely on potions?? Do not want!

So anyway, I'm roaming the lands fighting tiny things--I just got sent to a cave to fight some undead where I'm merrily ignoring the plot--and building up my village, and enjoying myself very much. I'm looking forward to playing the full game (though once again I'm sort of wince-cringing at the asterisk holders, sigh.)

In other game news I'm finally getting to where I can reliably beat Legend-level descended dungeons in Puzzle and Dragons, and I've been casually enjoying League of Angels: Fire Raiders. And of course I'm very devoted to Final Fantasy Record Keeper, where just today I beat the +++ level of the FF9 event, which is my first +++ level clear, and it wasn't even that hard.

...OH LOOK the spring event in FF Record Keeper just started, excuse me while I spend all my time hunting orbs and level-grinding, whoops.
