it can't possibly be my anniversary already
Today is my one-year anniversary. We went on a trip to celebrate and I'm still working on the post about that (it wasn't anything super impressive, just a weekend getaway to a relatively-local touristy thing) but I felt like there should be something to mark the anniversary.
So yeah, as of today I have been officially married for one year! \o/ In a lot of ways I feel like it's both not possible it's been that long and also like it's been longer than that, probably because we were basically de facto married, if not de jure, for a couple years before we actually threw the big party.
It has been a really busy year; we bought a house and moved, and did a bunch of repairs to said house, and I swear I do not actually know where the last twelve months went because everything keeps vanishing into a black hole of DCP and work drama, but I think in terms of our relationship it's been a good one. We have talked out a lot of things instead of skittering around them, and that's good.
So, yeah. Here's to a good year behind us and many more to come. I made us a mildly fancy dinner of pasta alfredo, baked fish with mushrooms, and steamed asparagus, and we thawed our wedding cake layer which I'm going to go cut for us in a few minutes here. Yay for food. :)
