Long weekends are the best thing.

Yesterday I came home very cranky and full of fussing, so I drank most of a 375mL bottle of raspberry liqueur and ordered sushi for dinner and went on TeamSpeak to play FF14. My guild graciously ran me through the second, third, and fourth turn of the First Coil of Bahamut, and we made a stab at Leviathan EX that didn't succeed (but one day. ONE DAY. I was actually doing pretty well, in that I died to damage rather than falling off the boat.) We also did some pony farming in Garuda EX, and one of my guildies got his pony, which is good. I was ridiculously drunk and so were most my guildies, so there was a lot of laughter and conversation and teasing, and the good company alleviated some of the brainweasels that were why I was drinking in the first place.

I staggered off to bed at about midnight-thirty and read for a while, waiting for husband to get home from his board game night; around one-thirty I eventually gave up on that and just curled up. He got home around two and snuggled me a little before we both conked out, and then I slept until 11:30 this morning which is not really a thing that I do anymore, but in fairness Thursday night I had gotten about four hours of sleep, so I needed it.

He went off for a bike ride today and I curled up to read and play FF14, and then we went off to
bobbler's place for a barbecue, which was great. It was a warm sunny day and there were many people I adore. I talked about movies and TV shows and books and awesome things with spreadnparanoia and
inyri and
goldmare and
more_insanerer, and then we watched part of the Blackhawks game, and had great food and great conversations. It was really fun and made me feel like I was on a much more even keel.

Then paladin and I drove
goldmare home and made a detour in the direction of delicious custard, and now I'm home and the cats are very happy to see me, and I've done a draft of the only actual work I have to accomplish until Monday night, and now I just have to decide if I'm going to read Dark Ages: Mage so
tuberose,
hyaenid, and
yaysunshine can have their Dark Ages game, or if I'm going go to back to levelling bard, or maybe level bard while reading Mage during queue pop time. And then tomorrow
goldmare is going to help me dig up a whole bunch of weeds and plant some flowers, because apparently having a garden means you have to take care of it or something. I dunno who designed that.
