Hello, DW. It's been a sort of slow week--I haven't accomplished much of note or worth writing about. Except that I finished my final achievement run in Strange Journey. Do ALL the things! aaaah Neutral ending. Wow. Just wow.

Paladin and I have been playing Assassin's Creed: Revelations (and by that I mean he plays and I watch.) Some thoughts, behind the cut for spoilers:

So, I love Sofia, like hardcore, and I'm adoring the sequences with Altaïr even if they're breaking my heart. But mostly I find I'm not as invested in this game as the previous ones. Maybe it's that Ezio is older, and more tired, and less involved. Maybe it's just that the surrounding cast is just not as awesome as I'm accustomed to. (I also miss Shaun's voiceovers and Rebecca's snark.) I miss Leonardo and Caterina and Machiavelli.

Gameplay does seem to have been making the paladin swear a little less than prior installments of the series, but I agree with a review from EDGE that pretty much said all the side games are pastede on yay. (This is really nice for those of us, like me, who would give zero fucks for actually playing a tower defense game, but still.)

I do love bitty!Suleiman, though.

I'm still not done my Yuletide fic, though at least I know what the outline is. And I'm hoping to get it done this week which should be far less busy than most weeks. Maybe.

In football news, it was half a good day, half a bad day; the Pack and the Jags put on excellent shows (take that, Haynesworth, you useless lump) and the Redskins were at least in it until the end, but true to form, they blew it at the last minute. Sigh. And as for Carolina....well. Yeah. But hey, the Ravens humiliated the Colts in their return to B'more, so that's always nice. (And I don't really mind when the Patriots win. I would've preferred it not be against the Redskins, but.)

mmmf. It is hard to think of things to say when you're in a food coma. We had a wonderful steak dinner, and all the food is smacking me upside the head with le tired.

strange journey, assassin's creed, football
