NaNo, and OTW
Day 3:

Writing Time: 3 hours? I was very distractable.
Victory du Jour: $Hero and $Heroine are talking to each other.
Argh du Jour: I am still terrible at writing porn, and worse at it on a deadline, and I can't even fade to black because it's actually plot- and character-relevant. ffffffff.
In non-NaNo news, I think this post has a *lot* of good things to say about candidates in the upcoming OTW election and their statements regarding the server poll, and it makes me wish I had not been lost in a fog of my own making when OTW membership was going around, because I would really like to vote for the candidates recommended, and for the reasons stated.
I have a lot of issues with the OTW. One of the reason I'm not a member is because I specifically feel like non-Western fans aren't really wanted there. I know there are people IN the org who are non-Western fans and who fight for us, but none of that's visible from here, nor is there much in the way of seeming results, and that frustrates me. And as a girl who grew up in DC and then moved to Chicago, I've spent enough time watching dysfunctional political processes that I honestly don't believe registering to vote, as it were, will make a damn bit of difference.
That being said, I'd love it if it would. And I am just optimistic enough to think that someday maybe it might. :|
(and in totally unrelated news, oops, $40 worth of music tonight. Motley Crue, The Judds, P!nk, and Katy Perry. ...sure, brain, whatever you say. and not a single damn note of it is relevant to the novel, of course. It was just a means of procrastination. Like updating my iPod to iOS 5. aaaaargh.)
