First up, fic pointers! Two more KB fics, which means I'm 3/5 of the way to a bingo (and I have ideas for the remaining two!)
"These Hands (Not Her Own)", Final Fantasy VIII, Ultimecia/Edea. Contains non-consent due to mind control. NC-17, 909 words. These hands are not her own, nor these thoughts; they are the other's.

AO3 "Nothing Like a Warm Bed on a Winter Morning," Lost Odyssey, Kaim/Sarah. NC-17, 570 words. This is Sarah's favourite way to wake up.

AO3 Last Sunday we went out to try to see a play my friend wrote; we originally planned to take the L downtown, get dinner at Lou Malnati's, and then go to the theatre. Well. So we got downtown, went to Lou's and there was an hour wait. So we're wandering around Lincoln Park at 5pm on a Sunday trying to find an open restaurant, which is harder than you'd think, by the way! We ended up finding a nice Japanese restaurant (although the waitress was very inexperienced, she was trying hard) and had tasty dinner. We then went off to the play, only to find out that it was sold out which is totally awesome, but a little facepalmy for those of us who figured we'd get tickets at the door (myself, paladin, and four of our friends.) So we wandered around looking for something to do and found a bar with a Prohibition/30s-mafia theme that advertised deep-fried Oreos. We were curious, so we got drinks and deep-fried Oreos. They were pretty classy, as these things go--drizzled with chocolate and raspberry sauce and dusted with powdered sugar--but I was glad we ordered a plate of 6 for the 6 of us, because I don't think I would've wanted more than one. Interesting experiment, not really interested in repeating it.
Then we managed to dodge *all* the rain: it had been looking pretty mean outside, but it rained while we were in the restaurant and had stopped by the time we got out. We walked back to the L and got on the train, and the skies opened up and dumped mass quantities of water in a very short period of time, but it stopped by the time we got to the station where we changed trains. It started up again while we were hanging out at our apartment, and stopped by the time we were driving people home. Rain-dodge skill, activate! \o/
In other news, I spent most of this week fighting weather-change headaches. See, I do this thing where every time a low-pressure front moves in, I get an amazing sinus headache that just lays me out flat. Extra bonus: my bottle of Advil that I carry in my purse for these occasions had run out, and I didn't manage to replace it because every time I thought about it, the idea of staying in bright lights and noise and oh my God there are people was just so overwhelming, after 8 hours at work in which I could not just close my eyes and lie down, that I didn't even manage to buy more painkillers until Friday. So that, um, basically ended my entire week. Yeah. (This is how I managed to not read LJ from like Sunday afternoon until Thursday night.)
It's been a nice weekend, though; the paladin and I spent most of yesterday lying around playing video games and working on a new Demon: the Fallen chron. Now I'm halfway through my to-do list for today, surrounded by sleepy adorable kitties (who are going to be dramatically less happy with me as I advance the to-do list, which includes their great nemesis, the vacuum cleaner. (Also finishing prep of lunches for this week, doing yoga, and maybe writing another KB story.)
In video game news, I'm trying Infinite Undiscovery again, this time on easy and with the strategy guide (which is confirming my opinion that the longer Brady Games is in business, the shittier their guides get; the FF8 and 10 ones were okay (though the latter has glaring errors), but the 7 and 9 ones were atrocious, 12 had falling spoilers everywhere, and the one for IU is just. I mean. IF AN ACHIEVEMENT IS AVAILABLE IN A SPECIFIC AREA why would you not fucking SAY SO instead of making me flip to the back of the guide to check if it MIGHT BE. auuuuuugh. Bad design, people! Bad design! I'm also replaying Final Fantasy X so the paladin can watch the plot (I just got Rikku in my party! I am finding her much more fun and less obnoxious this time around, for some reason. I'm also having an urge to replay X-2. Oh dear.) And I've been playing Final Fantasy VI on Virtual Console for another friend to watch, where I am grinding in a loop on the Floating Continent because heeeelp I need ALL THE LEVELS on account of I've...not been sticking to my best-party-always like glue this time. What is that.
Okay, enough blathering. To-Do List, go!
