We just finished Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. omfg that game. SO AWESOME. I am flailing forever at the ending. what. what. DESMOND. EZIO. and there was copious Caterina Sforza, and also the Borgias are fantastically fucked in the head, and also Claudia Auditore is a BADASS.
And also I want to play/run Sorcerer's Crusade. Again. As usual. And get another degree in history for the Italian Renaissance. Or maybe write half a dozen novels set there. Maybe I'll do that for NaNo next year? omg. *flailing in glee and joy*
In other news, I slipped yesterday when we went to Panera for lunch and whacked the hell out of my left leg. There are no visible bruises, but I can feel the impact on the front of my knee, upper shin bone, and the front of my ankle (i.e. where I landed.) Siiiiigh. But all my Christmas shopping is done (except for
celeloriel's gift which I have just realized I did not buy even though I thought I did) and a couple things I will pick up when I go home. also I shipped home a box of my clothes rather than check a bag at the airport, and my mom will ship it back with my Christmas presents. It cost a bit more (because I waited too long) but I do not care, I will happily spend the money in order to get through the airport significantly faster. (Why does it take me 45 minutes to check a bag when I can usually get through security--even on a busy day--in under 20? Why, airports?)
Also, I finished my Yuletide fic. I will try to go through tomorrow and post up my various AreYouGame pieces--I'm really proud of a few of them!--but I do not have spoons for it tonight. Or wrist strength.
I also finished Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light. Ultimately I think I would've liked this game better if I'd quit after the final boss instead of trying to finish the four bonus towers as well; they tacked on 30 fucking hours of playtime (ffffff) and a heaping giant pile of frustration. Overall: characters and personality are nonexistent; plot has holes I could fly a 747 through; but the system was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed some of the unique job classes they put in, and the way the gameplay ended up working.
Now, I'm back to Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, and I've packed up Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep to work on when I go home. I'll probably also take Glory of Heracles to quickly knock something off my Backloggery, which suddenly got a lot less manageable when I went on an App Store spree :( But hey, I have pretty shiny games now, so that's awesome.
P.S. Jason Campbell, please lead Oakland to a massive victory over Manning and the Dolts next week. Pretty pretty please. xoxo, Rina.
In other news, wtf, the Panthers won while Jacksonville blew it. And the Redskins stood a valid chance against Dallas. And the Packers are not currently getting crushed into a thin bloody smear by the Patriots. TODAY IS UPSIDE DOWN DAY.
Okay. Football and snugglins now.
