Is presently 5829, putting me up by about 800 words. (My current plans would have me hit a full day ahead by the end of tomorrow's writing, 2 days up by the end of my unofficial write-in on Friday, and 3 days up by the end of Sunday. Yes. I have no sense.)
But so far my protagonists are delightfully snarly (although I wish they'd cooperate more with *me,* they can be uncooperative at *each other* all they like...) and my less conservative estimates are looking more accurate than the more conservative ones; at the end of what I had dubbed "Chapter One" I am at the aforementioned number, when my less-conservative estimate was 6K (the conservative one was 3K.) where did all these words come from??
I really need to write before I'm allowed to eat, though. I am *useless* after dinner.
