New Laptop
I ordered a Thinkpad T61 today. Unfortunately they won't ship it until Jan 16th and then its on UPS ground so I could get free shipping. It's going to work though which should actually speed it up due to the frequency with which we get packages.
I"m gonna wait probably a month before ordering more RAM for it. I had them install 1 GB DIMM due anything more costing far too much. I can get it much cheaper online and install it myself. This will also actually arrive at near the same time as the laptop...I guess people were kidding when I read about turnaround time with Lenovo. I'm debating about ordering 2 2 GB DIMMs and ebaying the 1 GB DIMM.
I will also have a legal copy of the most evil OS...Windows Vista. I expect this to be completely unusable due to the 1 GB of RAM and will be wiping it after 5 minutes and putting Ubuntu on it.

Edit: They shipped the laptop yesterday instead of the original Jan 16th date mentioned when I ordered. Except I notice that they are shipping it from...GUANGZHOU,CN. So my laptop was made with cheap 3rd world slave labor...heh.
