Had an awesome weekend! So awesome, it's taken me 3 days of being back home to process it before posting about it.
Friday afternoon, me and my buddy Wolfe hopped in his truck and drove down to Maryland, just south of Baltimore, really. We went to the Maryland Renaisance Festival (MDRF) both Saturday and Sunday. We got in for free both days, as friends of the Baebes. Baebes, you ask? By that I mean the
Mediaeval Baebes, the 7 girl vocal group from the UK, who do traditional and contemporary mediaeval songs. Wolfe met them originally in Florida a few years ago at another RennFest, and when he heard that they were coming to MDRF, we had to go, and thankfully, they were kind enough to get us comp tickets for both days! We hung out with them for dinner and drinks on Saturday night, and some Faire-time bevvies throughout Sunday. Very cool people, although not the greatest with directions for driving around Baltimore!
The motel we stayed in on Friday night was a Knight's Inn, which at first, we thought to be tremendously fitting since we were going to a RennFaire the next day! Turns out, it was a divey place, so we decided to not stay for the second night. The EconoLodge that we stayed in on Saturday night was much nicer, even included wandering cats for free!!
I ordered new boots and a new winter coat while at the MDRF.. I'll be picking up the boots on our next road trip, which is the Ohio Faire in a few weeks! What fun!! Gleee!!!
