A Week of Awesome ⁞ 07.03.10
1⁞ Buzz and Jessie, Toy Story 3 - Well, who would of thought my newest OTP would be two animated characters. To destiny and beyond.
2⁞ I found this fabulous Dan and Blair picspam created by dreamfloat which she posted to gg_parallels which is full of win and love. I still find myself entangled and invested in Chuck and Blair, but these two would be mighty winning in their own right.
3⁞ Arcade Fire - Ok, so this was more about the weeks before, but I never got around to mentioning it. I haven't stopped playing the new 12" simulated single with "The Suburbs" and "Month of May". There's droves of hyper-critics complaining about another album not living up to "Funeral" and offensive cries turning against the roaring, soaring, new wave territory certain songs tread. But count me on the defense. This is a album that's shaping up to be a true visionary quasi-masterpiece. The only question that remains for me is vinyl or compact disc.
4⁞ Days of our Lives - Alice's mourning has been perfect. The returning characters and all the relevant flashbacks have been wonderful. Sure the Mike and Carrie scenes were awkward to say the least, but I still ate it up. And the soon approaching Shane and Kim reunion is going to be ridiculously great. I love seeing my veterans get some play. My only wish is that General Hospital can take some cues here the next time a true legendary character from the series parts to TPTB heaven. AI: I'm watching the funeral right now and am fighting back the tears!
