The Glories of Spring
Here, the daffodils are proudly showing their beautiful and sensual selves to the world,
the apple and plum trees in the yard are heavy with snowy-pinky blossoms, and the robins are busy being robins.
And I - am sitting here with my eyes on fire and watering like mad, my throat itching and my nose running like the Mississippi. The second I take the cover off of Ginny she is coated with toxic yellow spores. And the bloody grass is starting to grow because it has been raining like a bastard here all year and that's going to have to be cut soon.
