Today's HP musings

I have some kind of a nasty head cold, so please bear with me while I ramble. Yesterday, home sick in bed, I was flipping through HBP.

1. In the blurb inside the front cover it says something about Harry finding Voldemort's only vulnerability. I think I missed that when I read the book. We know Harry's greatest strength is love - are we meant to assume that Voldemort's vulnerability is his inability to either give or receive love?

2. In Spinners End, when Bella is commenting on the locale -- "this muggle dunghill" or something like that -- she says Snape must be the only one of "our kind" to . . . Does Bella not know Snape is a half-blood? She certainly wouldn't refer to him as "our kind" if she knew, would she?

3. Will and Won't -- the handwriting in the letter Dumbledore wrote to Harry is described as "slanting." Always before his handwriting has been discribed as "looping" or something like that. Why is this handwriting different? Is it because he wrote it with his left hand - his right hand being too damaged to hold a quill - or is it something else?
