So that when I look up at the night sky and I know that, yes, we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important that both those fact, the universe is in us.
I don’t know if I have to words to describe how I feel watching this, but I’ll try.
This is my religion. To me, seeing and hearing things like this, it makes me feel whole. It makes me think that even in some small way, we live forever. That we can pass something on to anything and everything that come after us. That we are connected to everything, EVERYTHING, in such a beautiful and intimate way.
And all I can think of now is one night I’ll be holding my child and I’ll point out a star, and I’ll say, “You see that star, all those stars. You are part of them, and they are part of you.”
