Well, I truly hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday seasons, regardless of how you choose to acknowledge it. Myself, it was indeed nice, surprisingly so. D has been on vacation for the past week, and I have been able to spend more time with him this week than in the past 3 months. Though, it also included him leaning over my shoulder, laughing hysterically, as I fretted over my new toys. As a few others have been told, my computer has indeed finally bit the big one (or at least was on it's way to at that time), moved on to the dark side of the garbage pile. It was a frantic race to be able to backup thousands and thousand of files, the last day resulting in crashing every 10 mins, and me shitting myself when it appeared my external hard drive had died as well. Seems it only needed to be charged, but I was not really thinking rationally at that point. The very last day included a defrag that took 6 hours to complete. Internet use was limited, for after 15 mins of a browser being opened...yup, the dreaded blue screens. But, it was a good compy, a loving compy, but sadly now.....a dead compy, destined to hacked apart for parts. Oh well, no worries off my back though...
Because I got a new compy for Christmas.
It really hasn't sunk in yet. I am still coming to grips with the fact that the monitor doesn’t have grey bars every two inches on the screen obstructing my view....or that software finally works(i.e. itunes) because my OS isn’t considered obsolete...OR...that it came with a 200 GB HD o_0 (but of course, am still trying to find where everything is in XP,(was a little too happy that I found where the show desktop button was). Seriously, Santa spoiled me terribly. So, a huge surprise in addition to wonderful lavender soap (yay Dr. bronners...old folks might know this brand), or a purse that I absolutely adore (surprisingly hot, considering Santa is after all, a man), a new flash stick to replace my first one which was eaten, and the wizard of oz on DVD...which I will admit to being a DVD I have wanted for a few years now. Friends also spoiled me terribly; between cards, cookies, chocolate, and voice posts, I really cannot even pretend that I didn't feel so very cared for this year. annnnywho, before the water works begin on the new keyboard (which has an M and an N key!!!!), How was everyone's New Year?
I have already been busy with bringing in the New year with a Chuck Norris style kick to the head. I have submitted, yes again, my FASA info to ensure I will be meeting the deadlines.......as it appears I might (still a might at this time) be enrolled into a class. It's only a one time course, but it's to hone in some pre-existing skills that I would really like to get back up to par. What pry tell? Well (please, no laughing, lol), Bartending. I have worked behind a bar many times, but have always been predominately in a kitchen or a server. I am very comfortable behind a bar, even though my drink knowledge is very basic...Can pour a draft like no other, martinis can be drier than the Sahara...but ask me to flip a bottle, or make a blow job, you will need to be prepared to loose the bottle...on the floor. It's a short 40 hour course, flexible to any schedule conceivable, but also is licensed within the states, and offers job placing immediately upon completion.....world wide o_0!!! I worked bar for a Christmas party, and realized how much I missed it and how different the money can be. So, that's what is happening within the next month. *hint, any bar positions in Greenbrier county?? Nepotism is not necessarily always a bad thing, LOL.
{D, if you happen to come by here...I would love to know how everything went on new Years with You and C...or was it only C? in regards to the catering job that was done}
Lastly, I was supposed to have finish this next topic most likely a month ago, but ...well...hadn’t. It's the entire listings of the contents of my music HD...all 20 GB of it. I am posting it here because a.) it was requested, but b.)I though perhaps I might have something another person might like to have, or vice versa. I have to be honest in stating that there will be a few conditions to receiving what you requested, that is if you choose to ask for something....I will, sorry, but this shouldn't be a surprise, be preferential to who's requests I accommodate first. Also, if I have a lot of stuff you may want, I will accommodate it all, but I will need a bit o' patience. If there are many items you may want, feel free to memorize this post and come back to it later, or request a little at a time, or make one reply and I will get to each of them when I am able. If I don't know you at all, and you here randomly checking my journal....no promises, as it's bros before hoes. If you are someone I know who hasn't figured out how to work their LJ, but have mine Bookmarked....just let me know as such, LOL.
Lastly.....I make no apologies for my taste in music. I am showing you my contents, all inclusive, non censored...Barry Manilow and all. I have the list divided into three sections; single mp3's (which if you want a bunch, i will just zip them all together), Full albums (which is someone requested an album you want, please just try their link first to see if it's still active, if not, i will reload), and Live GD shows, which were just a large part of my life...as well as one other artist, but it shouldn’t be too much of a shock of who that may be. These are only digital music, it does not include a listing of the 1500 CD's we own.....that's another entry for another year.
I had to use web space, as the list generator uses css...luckily I found an old account from geocities that i forgot I even had.
